Talissa Makdessi is a photographer, director and researcher. She shoots weddings, events and commissioned assignments alongside long-form documentary work examining pilgrimage through the lens of power, faith and health.

She is the founder of ThePilgrimPrj, tracing the economic, geopolitical, cultural life of historical sacred routes.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, endorsed by Patriarch Absi, and undertakes postgraduate research at King’s College London.
